Resumen
La presente investigación se desarrolló a partir de la necesidad del Hospital
Arnaldo Milián Castro de una herramienta adecuada para brindar asistencia en la
artroplastia total de cadera ya que la herramienta previamente existente no cuenta
con los requisitos necesarios para llevar a cabo este proceso. Por lo que fue
necesario implementar una nueva herramienta que cumpliera con estos requisitos,
teniendo como apoyo a la contraparte médica en la implementación de las
mediciones anatómicas necesarias para llevar a cabo el proceso preoperatorio.
Como resultado obtuvo el software PREOP-ORTOPEDIA el cual permitió
mantener una resolución y un escalado preciso en las prótesis, acetábulos y
radiografías de los pacientes, ya que trabaja en todo momento con imágenes
digitales escaladas. La herramienta obtenida es capaz de importar imágenes en
varios formatos como: jpg, png, gif, tiff, bmp, dicom, etc., así como otros formatos
RAW. El principal formato a tener en cuenta en este proyecto es el formato
DICOM, que permite almacenar imágenes radiográficas digitales, obtenidas
mediante resonancia magnética y realizar mediciones sobre estas (determinación
de ángulos, visualización del punto medio de una recta, longitud de una recta).
Esta información ayuda al cirujano ortopédico a decidir qué implante es necesario
utilizar, y la posición en la que deberá colocarse para lograr restaurar la
biomecánica de la cadera. El software permite además exportar las imágenes con
los análisis realizados en disimiles formatos como: jpg, bmp, png, tiff, etc. Todo el
análisis se realiza de forma interactiva, por lo que puede ser utilizado en la
docencia.
The present investigation was developed from the necessity of the Hospital Arnaldo Milián Castro of a suitable tool to provide assistance in total hip arthroplasty since the previously existing tool does not have the necessary requirements to carry out this process. Therefore, it was necessary to implement a new tool that complies with these requirements, having as support the medical counterpart in the implementation of the anatomical measurements necessary to carry out the preoperative process. As a result, he obtained the PREOPORTOPEDIA software, which allowed him to maintain a precise resolution and scale in the prostheses, acetabular and x-rays of the patients, since he works at all times with scaled digital images. The tool obtained is capable of importing images in various formats like: jpg, png, gif, tiff, bmp, dicom, etc., as well as other RAW formats. The main format to be taken into account in this project is the DICOM format, which allows the storage of digital radiographic images obtained by means of magnetic resonance and measurements on them (determination of angles, visualization of the midpoint of a line, length of a line). This information helps the orthopedic surgeon decide which implant to use, and the position in which it should be placed to restore the biomechanics of the hip. The software also allows to export the images with the analyzes made in dissimilar formats like: jpg, bmp, png, tiff, etc. All the analysis is done in an interactive way, so it can be used in teaching.
