reconocidos artistas cubanos y extranjeros.
Christopher Columbus Cemetery in the City of Havana, built in the second half of the 19th century (1871-1886) and declared a National Monument since 1987, is the most outstanding exponent of the funerary architecture in Cuba. The creations contained inside have an exceptional richness, which highlights works of renowned Cuban and foreign artists. It also has a remarkable v variety of architectural styles and formal typologies that regardless of location City denote a logical evolution determined by the artistic avant-garde and economic development among other factors. To demonstrate the hypothesis in relation to the evolution, intentional samples are determined with reliability defined by the exact date (date) of acquisition of the plot, as well as the uniform distribution over time of the quantity of works. Then the groups and subgroups are established to later identify their variants and invariants. Finally, we proceed to the specific characterization of each subgroup where the aesthetic - visual, physical - spatial, functional, environmental and technical - constructive components are generally included.
