Resumen
En Cuba, a partir del triunfo de la Revolución, en 1959, se llevó a cabo un plan de
urbanización, que debido a su carácter masivo, las limitaciones económicas y la
tendencia al modernismo en el urbanismo, se trató de priorizar el espacio interior del
edificio con sus superficies habitables, perdiendo importancia y terminación el espacio
libre exterior. Estos espacios libres, exteriores a la vivienda pero integradores del
conjunto habitacional, debieranser deducidos por el habitante como zonas de
intercambio, de convivencia, de recreo y de juego; sin embargo, quedan estrechamente
ligados a las expectativas individuales y a las sutiles formas de apropiación, lectura y
entendimiento que cada individuo efectúa en beneficio de su peculiar interés. Razón por
la cual se realiza el proyecto de renovación de los espacios libres en el Reparto
Bengochea, ubicado al sureste de la ciudad de Santa Clara, con el objetivo resolver los
conflictos y necesidades de sus habitantes en cuanto al uso de dichos espacios,
utilizando métodos participativos en el diagnóstico así como el intercambio sistemático
con los organismos implicados en el proceso de ejecución.
In Cuba, starting from the victory of the Revolution, in 1959, it was carried out an urbanization plan that due to their massive character, the economic limitations and the tendency to the modernism in the urbanism, it was to prioritize the interior space of the building with their inhabitable surfaces, losing importance and termination the external free space. These free spaces, external to the housing but integrative of the residence group, they should be deduced by the inhabitant like exchange areas, of coexistence, of recess and of game; however, they are closely bound to the individual expectations and the subtle appropriation forms, reading and understanding that each individual makes in benefit of his peculiar interest. Reason for which is carried out the project of renovation of the free spaces in the Allotment Bengochea, located to the southeast of Santa Clara's city, with the objective to solve the conflictsand their inhabitants' necessities as for the use of this spaces, using participatory methods in the diagnosis as well as the systematic exchange with the organisms implied in the execution process.
