Resumen
En la actualidad, las organizaciones se encuentran inmersas en entornos económicos y mercados cada vez más competitivos y globalizados donde los rápidos cambios tecnológicos y culturales que propiciaron la aparición de la era de la información hicieron que muchos preceptos fundamentales de la era industrial se volvieran obsoletos, exigiendo a las empresas la necesidad de desarrollar nuevas capacidades para alcanzar buenos resultados, si desean tener éxito.
Para realizar este trabajo se consultaron diferentes fuentes bibliográficas del ámbito internacional y nacional que abordaran la problemática de los sistemas de información En este sentido, la presente investigación estuvo dirigida a diagnosticar el sistema de información en el Consejo de Administración Popular, con el objetivo de potenciar el desarrollo local. Para ello se utilizaron métodos analíticos sintéticos y se aplicaron métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos, entre los que se encuentra, la entrevista, el análisis documental y criterios de expertos, el cuestionario y la triangulación de fuentes de datos.
La investigación aporta a la entidad objeto de estudio una secuencia de problemas, en aras de lograr el perfeccionamiento del sistema, lo cual se complementa con algunas propuestas de mejoras que conduzcan a un mayor desarrollo local en la provincia.
