Resumen
En la actualidad, los almacenes y mercados de datos constituyen una pieza importante en el
análisis de la información que se genera en las empresas, permitiendo de esta forma la toma
de decisiones para la administración y el control de sus procesos de negocios.
Semestral y anualmente al departamento de Recursos Humanos (RRHH) de la Universidad
Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas (UCLV) se le piden informes y reportes sobre la
cantidad de altas, bajas, cambios de categoría docente y de grado científico respecto al
personal docente e investigativo que labora en dicha institución. Hasta el momento la
información de este departamento se encuentra en sistemas operacionales con fuentes de
datos heterogéneas, lo cual dificulta el análisis de la información basado en el historial de
cada persona.
El presente trabajo de diploma tiene como objetivo la implementación de un mercado de
datos que permita preservar los datos históricos correspondientes a dicho personal y sobre
el cual se puedan realizar análisis de la información periódicamente mediante el uso de
reportes estáticos y dinámicos que sirvan de apoyo a la toma de decisiones. Para lograr
estos resultados se utilizó la herramienta de diseño ERStudio, el Sistema Gestor de Base de
Datos (SGBD) PostgreSQL y varias herramientas de la suite de Inteligencia de Negocio
Pentaho.
At the present time, the warehouses and markets of data constitute an important piece in the analysis of the information that is generated in the companies, allowing this way the taking of decisions for the administration and the control of their processes of business. Biannual and annually to the department of Human resources (RRHH) of the Central University "Marta Abreu de las Villas" (UCLV) they are requested reports of the quantity of high, low, changes of educational category and of scientific grade regarding the educational and investigative personnel that works in this institution. Until the moment, the information of this department is in operational systems with heterogeneous sources of data that which hinders the analysis of the information based on each person's record. The present work has as objective the implementation of a market of data that allows to preserve the historical data corresponding to these personnel and on which they can be carried out analysis of the information periodically by means of the use of static and dynamic reports that they serve from support to the taking of decisions. To achieve these results the design tool ERStudio, the System Agent of Database (SGBD) PostgreSQL and several tools of the suite of Intelligence of Business Pentaho.
